Isabella English

Isabella English is a sophomore at West Virginia University majoring in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis in Astronautical Engineering and robotics. She joined WVUER in 2024 and is a Level 1 certified member of the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), currently working toward her Level 2 certification. She also holds a HAM radio technician license.
Since joining the club, Isabella has contributed to multiple sub-teams for the competition rocket, with her primary focus on the Payload team. She has also been involved in the Active Drag project and plans to continue developing that initiative. During the 2024–2025 International Rocketry Engineering Competition, she served as the Documentation Lead and played a role on the Payload sub-team. She hopes to take on a leadership role within Payload in the near future.
Isabella’s core interest in rocketry lies in gaining hands-on experience, exploring new aspects of the field, and applying her knowledge to future career opportunities in aerospace.
Outside of rocketry, she enjoys designing and building R/C planes, serving as Vice President of WVU’s Design Build Fly Club, playing soccer, and spending time with her family.
